Case study
Vesper and her parents are a Dutch-speaking family based in the Netherlands. Before she was born, Vesper’s parents decided to raise her bilingually with Dutch/English. They mostly followed an One Parent, One Language approach with Vesper’s mum speaking to her in English consistently.
They attended English Voice Academy baby signing workshops when Vesper was a baby and later enrolled her on our English course (when she was a pre-schooler). NB: The English Voice Academy was founded in the Netherlands in 2013 and moved to Geneva, Switzerland, in 2023.
Now Vesper is 8 years old, still following her English lessons and comfortably bilingual.
